Battersea Power Station

Located on the south bank of the Thames in South West London, Battersea Power Station is an iconic building. It was built in the 1930s and functioned as a coal-fired power station until it ceased work in 1983. Since then it has been unused, due to the poor condition of the structure. There have been various plans and proposals put forward for the redevelopment of the building, but none have come to fruition until now. Current redevelopment work is for the transformation of Battersea Power Station into an incredible mixed-use development, comprising shops, residential units, public areas and offices.
